TODAY'S Staffordshire Challenge Cup semi-final between Chasetown Reserves and Burntwood Town has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at the Scholars Ground.  No restaging date has been announced.

Supporters are reminded that entry forms for the club's Aim for Eight competition can still be dropped off at the club, and a representative will be present at the ground between 2.30 and 3pm.

CHASETOWN'S first team will take a rare Saturday off this coming weekend as scheduled opponents Northwich Victoria continue to find success in the FA Carlsberg Trophy.

Chasetown had been due to face the Vics in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, but the Cheshire club has progressed to the Third Round of the Trophy and will therefore face Hampton & Richmond Borough on Saturday instead - the match taking place at Moss Rose, home of Macclesfield Town.  With no alternative opposition available for Saturday, there will be no first team game at the Scholars Ground.

This means that the Reserve side will take centre stage as they face local rivals Burntwood Town in the semi-finals of the Staffs Senior Cup.  Look out for a full preview later this week.
