No excuses then

Just kidding, but the perfect way to pick ourselves up after Tuesday is with a good perfroamance and three points today. Forget the Trophy, we're in an excellent position league wise with games in hand.

Glad the rain's held off over night, I was worried about the pitch from the forecast last night.

Any new team news? Injury worries?

A couple of stats...

That was Chasetown's 2,222nd league goal as Chasetown FC 1972 to date.

Danny Smith marked his 199th Chasetown appearance today

Not good enough plain and simple.

Think we had all this weeks chances on Tuesday. If we are going to win this mad league we have to be beating the Loughboroughs of this world at home.

Id like to see another big forward up there with Birch the big and small combination does work but somtimes id like to see big and big up top.

Good to see Aide back lets hope its for a long spell.

Tough one tuesday but I think we do better against the better teams

Just thought there wasn't enough urgency yesterday. The first half was forgettable, aside from a top save from Ryan, some poor finishing and a goal that was debatably disallowed imho.

First 10 mins of the second half was good, we got infront but then took our foot off the gas. No surprise when Loughborough scored, foregone conclusion as the game went on.

Only really started to dominate towards the end but by that point it was much much too late. Draw was the fair result.

Not sure how true fillyfog's point above is about results againist different teams but it does feel that way sometimes. Victories against the teams towards the top don't win you the league in the end, it's the consistency versus those lower down.

Man of the Match goes to Ben Steane for me, worked hard in midfield and covered an awful lot of ground for the team.
