Charlie's New Year Message 2 Years, 4 Months ago
I would like to wish every supporter a healthy and happy new year and we all look forward to seeing the blue army at every game.

We have got the best fan base in the Unibond South division which is fantastic for us and shows just how far we have come in the past few years.

We all really appreciate our supporters and I would like to thank them all for their outstanding support.

Please keep it up as we work hard together to bring more success for the club.

On the squad front, I have signed Scott Embrey from AFC Teflord last week. We are sorting paperwork with Market Drayton where he played 2 games on loan earlier this season.

Scott is 18 and is an energetic midfield player. He has played a few first team games at AFC Telford and has the potential to develop into a very good player. I am really looking forward to seeing him develop with us. He has a better chance of regular first team football at this level and this will help his development. He has been mentioned to me by several people and I am chuffed he has signed.

We have some really exciting young players at the club and they are all impressing to force themselves into the first team which is great for me. We only have 17 senior players however we have 5 or 6 excellent youngsters who have already figured for the first team and I can now count them as part of my first team squad.

Another big plus for the side is that Ross Miller has rejected a move to Rushall.

I am really pleased Ross has decided to stay at Chasetown. I signed Ross two years ago from Tipton and I feel he has developed into a good player at this level.
He started the season for us and then got injured but he has never let me down and I really like him as a lad and he is very important to us as he can cover several positions. I know that once he gets his shirt back he will keep it.

Happy New Year

Charlie.
