Dissapointing night it has to be said. Very little attacking promise, and some interesting choice of subs and substitutions. Thought even at 1 down we looked generally disinterested.

Fortunately Glapwell drew for the 3rd successive time, and Sheffield and Kidsgrove both lost. I just hope we have enough fire power up from with Danny out with his op and Reece at FGR. Apart from Teesdale's pacy run and hitting the post (see match report, not memory/vision) we were never a threat last night.

Have to agree with the above post. After an awesome performance last Saturday last night was as bad as it gets. Worst performance of the season by a mile for me.
After a promising 1st 25 minutes there was only ever one team going to win it. I would have taken 0-0 after half an hour if it had been offered.
With the loss of Reece there was absolutely no pace in the forward line at all and apart from the double effort against the woodwork in the 2nd half we were never an attacking threat all night. Thought 1-0 flattered us at the end of the day.
And to answer Popdogs question. NO we dont have enough fire power up front and this needs rectifying mega quick.
Also agree that the substitutions were very strange to say the least.
One final point. Why has Mark Branch suddenly fallen out of favour?!?!?!

One bonus from last night was Ramone, I thought he looked very dangerous when running at defenders with a bit of luck he would have goy a goal. He provided some good crosses we just need a Deano or Reece to compliment him.I think we will send the Camels away with the hump on Sat and we will be back on track. fin

Mark Branch should be in the squad. Last night we had no full back cover on the bench. Milly gets injured and so Ross comes on. 1 minute later they score. I personally dont see why a player who can change a game (as in the Goole game) should not be in the squad.

As said, too many players had poor or indifferent games last night. Ramone is a quality winger, but he needs ball to feet. 1st half they were scared to death of him running at them, yet that happened far to often because he wasnt given the ball. Midfield looked poor and Saunders has looked weak since the return from the break. For me we are missing Batch in their but he's gone so that is that.

Cannot see the current forwards bagging many. Hay worked hard but had little supply. Danny should of scored but hit the post, but now he is out with Deano. Birchy needs a pacy forward working with him but we currently do not have that avaliable.

Well done Reece, 2 goals in 45 mins and 1 scored after 3 mins on the pitch. Certainly looks like him could progress there and onto a higher playing level. I think an improvement in maturity and decision making could see him become a complete player.

We need a win on Saturday and let's hope we can deliver. We are still top, but our last 3 games of the season are gonna make or break our season. Would be nice to build a lead up before then but on last night's performance that looks highly unlikely. Lets hope Charlie can rally them for the weekend.

Realy if we think about it and we were offered 3 points from the last 2 games would we have taken it ?
Talking about taking strikers on loan, how about Ebanks Blake ? he needs a platform to get his knack back.

All three players went off injured...

You don't think Danny and Tees look alike then?
