Chasetown Vs Lincoln United 2 Years, 3 Months ago
'morning.

Hey! Here's a thought. Let's try and keep the "effing" ball on the deck today! Controversial?

lol no Billy I agree with you completely, and maybe we could try and use the whole of the pitch too.

As for today's game I've just got back in and according to the NLN we're beating Lincoln 2-0 at half time with the goals coming from Danny Smith after 22 minutes and Duncan Horler after 35. An excellent return to form thus far and so the sounds of it we're using the ball very well

Current scores in the Unibond Division 1 South

Carlton 0 - 0 Rushall
Glapwell 1 - 1 Leek
Micklover 1 - 1 Shepshed
Grantham 2 - 0 Market Drayton

Please note however that I cannot be held responsible for any of those, this is jusr the info I have to hand!

(Case in point the NLN reckon we're playing Grantham today, while they're simultaniously playing Market Drayton!?)

GOAL Chasetown 2 - 1 Lincoln United

Once again the clean sheet bonus is thrown out the window as Garrick halves the deficit for the visitors. 53 minutes gone and this is back in the balance. With other results going out way so far it's imperetive we get back to winning ways.

Attendance is an excellent 376 which is fab considering the FA Cup and Six Nations games that are taking place today. Well done to you all!

RED CARD

Vaughan Thomas receives his marching orders with 20 minutes to go. Chasetown down to 10 men and defending the slenderest of leads. Backs to the wall job now...

Still waiting for confirmation of the final result...sorry. NLN is being outrageously slow

FULL TIME

Chasetown 2 - 2 Lincoln United

Unfortunately the Scholars were unable to hold on at the death.

That's all I know but that's probably all you want to know...

Top 4 all won. Defeats for Witton and Rushall though, so we "gain" a point on the chasers for the 4th play-off place

Thats the title over for Chase now as far as i'm concerned. If we are to go up it will have to be through the lottery of the play offs. Yet another woeful result at home. 5 draws now at home against teams we should be beating if we have any aspirations of going up.
Felt we were robbed today though. There had hardly been a stoppage 2nd half and yet we played nearly 8 minutes injury time. If the ref had blown when the 5 minutes injury time was up we would have won as their goal was in the 97th!
