I have only left one other Chasetown game early and that was Mickleover away earlier on in the season. Like that performance, the team did not look bothered to perform and that was the case last night. If you dont want to play for the team then do one.

I thought we looked much poorer at the back once Tease went off with injury. We had looked solid with his calling at the back, but Vaughan got done several times last night and that resulted in their 2nd goal.

That said, I dont think we performed anywhere on the pitch. The midfield for me is where we lacked bite and dynamism, and we invited them on 2nd half. Everyone could see the goal coming.

And sorry Charlie, I am sure you are as frustrated as the rest of us but I cannot blame that score on not taking chances. MD had more clear cut chances that us to score, we had one ball which was flicked on 2nd half that should of been buried but on the night we got what we deserved. We need to pick the best players in the best positions..........the front 2 last night were never going to score in 4 hours of football.

Yesterday was a collective disgrace, and I don't use that word lightly. Players need some motivation and a kick up the arse and fast, because too many seem apathetic to the progress of this club and this season. Attendance numbers at home are slowly dropping and with good reason. Sort it out and fast.

And to top it all off Mickleover lost to Belper, and Gkapwell drew with Sheffield. Talk about a wasted opportunity.

Good post popdog which i agree with totally.

Another in a long list of woeful home performances last night and was as bad as i've seen all season (along with Mickleover that is). Not one player on the pitch seemed interested and apart from Pricey and John Branch every other player on the pitch was a disgrace to the shirt last night. Agree Popdog if they dont want to play for the club then they can all clear off.
We got off lightly and if MD had scored 5 i dont think anyone could have complained. A lacklustre, spineless, gutless couldnt care less performance all round last night, and not for the 1st time this season either.
This season has been a big step backwards in my opinion and if we dont go up this season then sweeping changes need making in the summer.
And what was going on with the team selection.!!?? We had a perfectly good striker on the bench and yet chose to play someone out of position up front. Totally bewildering.
The standard of free kicks was horrendous all night too. I may be slated here but how can Mark Branch be left out of the side when he has saved us over and over again this season from the jaws of defeat. Even his poor free kicks are better than any of the rubbish delivered last night. Even we are playing badly we always have a chnace of a goal with one his free kicks, but even that was missing from last night.

I havent got over last night still and am still totally disgusted with what i witnessed. Only glad i didnt take anyone along to witness that disgraceful showing as i would have been totally embarrassed.

I agree with everything that has been said and I would just like to add that I have never seen so many people walk out before the final whistle and would not be surprised if less people walk in before the next kick off - IT WAS THAT BAD

Well I couldn't keep it in much longer and after reading others airing their views so here goes my opinion for what its worth ...

A fresh approach and new ideas are needed. Unfortunately there has been no progress since last season which suggests somethings wrong or is no longer working. Its been suggested to me that there has been some very strange decisions this season (I can't claim to have been there to see them all) ... but I echo Ernie's words with some regret "a change is needed".
