Well done Chase boys!

Fourth with 2nd firmly our target

Hopefully we can break the jinx of not winning when I come and watch on Wednesday! It's too spooky that I didn't come on Friday and Monday and you win!!

Both of us in the same boat Lee, my recent record isn't that great...

But on the last two results looks like the lads will throw that out of the window

Awesome result today lads. Belper fans I spoke to said their challenge is over for play-off places, despite being only 1 point off the pace

Charlie, I believe, thought Gavin Saunders was Man of the Match, but it's hard to look beyond the impact that Gary Hay has made, not only today, but over the last 4 or 5 games he played in.

This is a guy who hasn't played for a long while, came back against Stafford Rangers and was on fire. And, to be honest, hasn't played badly since. Looking a very useful partnership developing with Grant Ryan at the moment, who's goal for our 2-0 lead today was immense.

I've read people "slating" the decision to play Dave Egan up front against Market Drayton. It's a role he's played before in his previous spell with Chasetown, scored goals regularly in that position and played it very well. yes, I accept those who said Grant should start and keep Egan in midfield, but I just wanted to point out that he CAN play up front, HAS played up front, albeit a long time ago.

By the way, Egan says the beard is staying until we lose again. So, expect a David Bellamy look by the end of the season. Or, maybe a Dumbledore

General good day out yesterday. We played some good football in parts.............but we need to continue to use the width. When JB and Bones combined we looked very dangerous, and I know Charlie wants the ball to Bones's feet because you can hear him shout that!

Saunders had a good game, Slater looked solid, as was JB. For me Egan was MOM, he plays a vital role in retaining/winning the ball. I agree about Hay, he works hard up front and his partnership with Grant is promising.

Bit interested to read on the Belper forum as 1 fan (I stress 1, I guess he is alone) says that Belper were the better side with 70% of the ball. I think we all know they didn't play well yesterday which was good for us, and I think we hurried them into alot of mistakes. Certainly the Belper fans I heard didn't think they deserved to win.

It certainly is encouraging to see u beating sides around us for promotion. I certainly think Mickleover have the possibility of dropping points and he have to play them yet. Let's carry it on versus Leek.

Another good result and a great 2nd half display. 1st half i felt Belper just edged it and Pricey kept us in it with a great save. Our goal was slightly against the run of play but who cares. The early goal 2nd half killed them off and we went on to dominate.
Man of the match for me was Gary Hay and his partnership with Grant is getting better each game. Mention too for Gavin Saunders who had an awesome display too in the middle of the park.
Havent rated Belper in any game so far this season even though they beat us twice when we totally underperformed. Expect a much tougher game tomorrow from Leek who are on fire at present.
