TOPIC: Mickleover

Mickleover 2 Years, 1 Month ago
Another great battling display last night. Made Mickleover look really ordinary for the 1st 35 minutes. Superb 1st half from Ben Jeavons who was everywhere. Had to withstand some tremendous pressure 2nd half but the defence was superb and i cant remember Pricey really having a save to make. Awesome game from Slates who in my opinion was man of the match but it is hard to reaaly single out anyone in the defence who were all superb.
One of the solo goals of the season from Bones whose pace to get away from their defender was electrifying.
Great to see a decent crowd in the ground too and the atmosphere throughout was really good. Only about 80 or so from Mickleover so a good turn out from Chase of 500.
7 points now from the last 4 games will guarantee us 2nd place. Hopefully we will do that in the next 3 games and maybe be able to rest a few in the final game v Kidsgrove as the players will have played 3 games in the previous 6 days.

There seemed to be a slightly different tactic in the second half which paid off with the goal, well done on keeping thinking. How many minutes of stoppage time were there, it felt like we were playing extra time instead of injury time lol

There were six minutes of stoppage time indicated officially, although by my reckoning it should have been closer to four (allowing for the goals, substitutions and injuries I could recall at the time). There were then further stoppages during those six minutes, which all added up to what seemed like eight or nine excruciating minutes!
