Midfielder Ben Jevons has paid tribute to hat-trick hero Dean Perrow ahead of Chasetown FC's game at Matlock Town.

The Scholars travel to Derbyshire tonight (September 28) on the back of a 5-0 victory against Bradford Park Avenue - a result set up by Perrow's first half treble.

And Jevons - who also got his name on the scoresheet - hopes Perrow can continue to get amongst the goals.

It was a tremendous team performance against one of the pre-season favourites to win the league. I thought John Richardson and Richard Teasdale at the back were awesome in keeping the Bradford strikers at bay and of course Dean Perrows "22 MINUTE" hat trick superb. Is this one of the fastest hat tricks at the Scholars?

I've had a little look, and I have found a quicker one, in terms of first goal to last goal...

February 2006 in the League Cup v Stourbridge, Duncan Horler (aka Duncan Swann-Horler) netted in the 75th minute to make it 3-2, netted shortly after and completed his hat trick in stoppage time with the rebound from his missed penalty.

I'll see if I can find a quicker one at the start of a match...

And well done to the boys for their 4-3 away victory at Matlock.
Brilliant win against one of the front runners.
