Use him or lose him!! 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Absolute superb result Tuesday night at Kettering! Superb support!
Great team effort!

But once again, Grant Ryan comes off the bench and scores!
As in my previous thread give the lad some playing time!

As the saying goes; Use him or Lose him.

This is my opinion only, so give him a chance!

My thoughts exactly.

If you hadn't noticed the front two pairing of Birch and Hay have scored 19 goals between them and Midfielders are doing nicely with Ben Jevons and Dave Egan grabbing 15 between them.

Who would you replace?

Granted (no pun intended) that Ryan must be frustrated, but as already has been proven in the past, and will certainly be repeated this season, games will start to come along at the rate of at least two a week and the team that has strength in reserve will be in the best position to prosper.

Chances will come his way and once in, it will then be up to the player to make sure the manager can't afford to drop him.

(Very emotive header by the way.)

with things going as they are it'll turn out that we will play 2 games a week quite often, which will open up the chance for ryan to play. yes birch and hay have formed a good partnership but from time to time hay frustrates me and he is 35 so his legs probz wont be able to take playing 2 games a week. i would like to see deano and ryan playing together as i feel that they could make a good partnership

I disagree. I think Grant has had his chances this season. He had a run of 11 starts in 14 games not long ago and failed to take his chance. I think he looks far better when he comes off the bench. Workington and Kettering being good examples.
For me Birchy has to start as he has been quality yet again this season with Deano along side when he is fit. Also Gary Hay has performed well and doesnt deserve to be dropped for anyone other than Deano.
Just my view but we all have different opinions. Agree though that with 26 league games still to play that everyone is gonna get a chance anyway.
