use him or lose him!! 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Fair comment "windy" grant did have a good run in the team, but cast your mind back before that run he was dropped from the team having played some of his best football for the club in a chase-town shirt notably a great performance against now table toppers Halifax town a game i seem to remember you commenting on. He then went on and won us the game away at north Ferriby then had another solid performance against then table toppers Ashton united. He was then dropped from the team after two poor team performances against kidsgrove and worksop with nothing more than scraps to feed off.
He then came off the bench at matlock and changed the game creating two goals for Gary haye to win the game 4-3 after the game looked dead and buried.
I rest my case!!

I think you "rest my case" Woody and thanks for that . I said Grant looks best when he comes off the bench and you have just confirmed this. You have just highlighted the Halifax and Matlock games when Grant played well, and in both games he came off the bench and didnt play the whole game.
I did say after the Halifax game that he deserved a run in the team which he was given but in my opinion didnt really take his chance when in the starting 11.
There is nothing wrong with being a "super sub". Remember David Fairclough at Liverpool many years ago and the reputation he established as being a "super sub".
Grant is a good player and like i said with all the games we have got coming up he will get his chance. In my opinion though i just feel he is below Birchy, Deano and Gary Hay in the pecking order.

Calm down!!! I haven't once said that your opinion is wrong, it's just different to mine so dont say that mine is wrong just cause its different to yours.

Don't quite get your point about me "taking off my blue coloured spectacles" either. I happen to have agreed with Charlie's selections up front this season and think we have had a great season so far so if that means i have got blue tinted spectacles then that will do for me.

yep your the expert so he must be an excellent gaffer, but how many tallented youngsters is he going to mentally destroy to get where he wants to be ? . ranting and raving and dropping players for single mistakes is not the way forward, but thats just my opinion and again Im right. .
