Guys, don't feel sorry for us, we had an amazing day! Chasetown made us feel so welcome and the hospitality was incredible. I know that the Cardiff fans parted with a good few hundred pound in the club shop after walking away with shirts, jackets, badges and the odd snood too . Everyone associated with Chasetown should be extremely proud because the welcome we had is enough to see us coming back for more!

As for the game, these things happen! We were however invited to drop by Dales Lane to watch Rushall v Spalding and again, our presence was welcomed by the "majority" of fans despite our endless verses of "£10k and you f***ed it up" etc. We understand the rivalry is like that of our with our 6 toed cousins Swansea so have no fear, we are still very much Chasetownians!!

Rushall were lovely to us though and presented us with a signed shirt and two cases of Carling for the trip home. Dales Lane is a ground though isn't it?? Bloody hell! One hell of a slope! Us City fans sung the while game and tried to spur Spalding on as much as we could but we were helpless in the 7-0 mauling by Rushall.

All in all, a great day and had we not had a massive game against Swansea on Sunday, we'd be coming up for your game bs Eastleigh! We do wish you all the very best though and hope you go through. We're already looking at games we can come to next time so maybe we'll see you all again

No "showing up" was done by anyone I can assure you. The treatment we had from everyone at Chasetown was exceptional and made a lasting impression on all of us. I had a good chat with your chairman amoungst others and I think that we were all taken back with the plans the club have to move forward. It was a special day and as I've already said, we'll definately be coming back for that's for sure. I'm not sure the "Free pass" for the game is needed though as without trying to sound patronising, by paying for a game, we feel we're helping out abit more too. We had a whip round yesterday too just to say thank you for the beer tokens, programmes and sandwhiches we had on arrival. The only way the day would have been bettered is if we'd whitnessed a Chasetown win but that's for next time.

I really can't say thank you enough to everyone at Chasetown and I think I speak for everyone that was there yesterday when I say that we really look forward to our next trip back.

I'd just like to add to the above comments that we had a great day and a great welcome and it was a pleasure to meet all the Chasetown people in the clubhouse. We enjoyed ourselves watching Rushall v Spalding but will definitely come back to watch a Chasetown match whenever we can. I think that there will always now be a really close connection between our clubs. I haven't got a Cardiff shirt because I don't normally wear colours but I've now got a Chasetown top which I can't wait to wear to a forthcoming game. Best of luck, Scholars, for the rest of the season. (Can you introduce an ayatollah smiley?)
