Posts: 609 The Stags shouldn't treat Chasetown with any respect; after all, they're just a lowly club with a tiny gound and a few fans.
But what they must do is to expect to work VERY hard for their victory, and expect to see Chasetown fighting for the prize.
Our team is a lot better technically than theirs, but we must at least match them for effort. If that is equal, we'll win. If we fall short on the hard work, we might not win.

Haha let them think that - same as workington, kettering, grimsby and eastleigh did too seem to remember similar results when they played us

I think Mansfield have every right to imagine that they will progress to the semi, after all they are a much bigger club and a couple of steps up the league ladder.
However I remember..

Blyth Spartans
Nuneaton
Cambridge
Bath
Port Vale
Kettering
Grimsby

.....to name a few. We relish the role as underdog, and whatever the result we are not expected to progress. It's a win/win situation, and I am pretty sure the Mansfield fans and players have more to worry about after the result than we do.
I still say 2-1 Chase victory with a late winner.

If we lose to your lot, our fans will be baying for blood and the first port of call will be Duncan Russell, so this match is enormous for our Management duo!!

We aren't that technically gifted, we're a mid-table conference side at best. If you get it on the deck, we could be chasing shadows, but what we do have is very effective wide men (on their day) with a fantastic target man up top.

Our defence is frail. Attack it and you will score. At the minute, we seem to be giving it our best 'we'll score 1 more than you' efforts!

Anyway, enjoy the day, but I'm still saying 2-1 Stags!

Hi Ben. Your side's weaknesses could very well fall into our hands, but that is if we play the ball on the deck like we can. I fully expect the match to be close.

Agreed, the match will definitely be a close one.

However, we've played 3 sides below our division this Season...

FC Halifax 0-1 Mansfield (FAC 4Q)
Worksop 0-5 Mansfield (FAT1)
Mansfield 1-1 Alfreton (FAT 3)
Alfreton 1-2 Mansfield (FAT 3R)

So, we don't do too bad, because 2 of the sides in the list are hot favourites to run away with their respective divisions.

Oh, and we stuffed Hucknall 6-1 in a Friendly at Watnall Road too

We have also beaten Halifax How have you got on against Grimsby and Kettering? I could google it but I can't be arsed

Kettering 1-1 at home, won 3-1 away.
