www.internetfootball.org.uk/About-The-IFA.php

for a number of years supporters of football teams all round the country have been joining together and joining the IFA league, for both 11 and 5 a side, but some teams have'nt joined the IFA league and just have friendlies or just play in the cups, the link above tells you an insider as to what the IFA is all about. a couple of teams in our league are involved in this, buxton, halifax and i've heard stocksbridge have got a 5 a side team and also chorley (evo stik north) are joining up, could be something we could do more research into? i've spoke to a few buxton fans and they enjoy playing in the IFA. its mostly about bulidng bridges between different supporters as the link above says

www.freewebs.com/ifastats/1011table.htm

^ current IFA table

www.fcbuxton.co.uk/

^ buxton supporters team website

this is something which caught my eye, and a few people i go to chasetown with also believe its something we could look at. it'll take a lot of hard work to make possible but lets see what you guys think!

i think this is a great idea sure we would get enough interest to get a team together to play some friendlies then go and get some food and have a good drink we could even arrange a friendly with the cardiff lads i would personally love the chance to show off some gary birch like skills!

forgot about whitby, but if buxton n whitby are still in the league this season we could always arrange friendlies when both our teams are playing eachother, so have the game at 11-12 finish at 2, quick drink then off to the 1st team. im sure its something we should look at more, just so i can show MY birchy skills

we could try and knock a few first teamers out there places but on a serious note, we should organise a 'training session' or something that will get people to attend, we could get the tannoy annoucer to talk about it, could put it on the facebook page? make more people aware of it because for sure all the 200-300 or so regulars dont all have the forum, we need to get everyone involved, make it a supporters succses, we could all join the supporters club if we are'nt in already, and think of ways to raise funds for kits etc.
