Charlie's just text me - he's (we're) on Radio WM in 15 minutes

Just heard it.

You never really glean much information from an interview like that. Charlie is an intelligent and articulate bloke (if that's not being too "crawly-bum-lick"), but everybody ends up slipping into cliche in such circumstances. This is so often the case that I have to avoid watching or listening to those awful press conferences that upper league managers and players are forced to do. I would end up breaking about two teles a week or ploughing my car into a bridge pier!

Any chance of getting a recording from anyone? I swear I've got the Team Bath/Vale/Cardiff ones if anyone'd like a copy - plus Five Live of the Cardiff.

And yeh I know what you mean Billy, you just hear the same old stuff over and over, very rarely is there someone who makes you sit up and think, this guy really knows what their on about, and quite frankly can show they care in that area. I wonder if they're actually semi-scripted for players, 'here's a list of set phrases, pick any 5 and mumble some rubbish'

To be fair to Charlie, he answered the questions. You obviously don't want to air your dirty laundry on the radio, so you have to hold back or employ the usual cliche tactic. The questions weren't exactly searching, but let's be honest WM are using it as "filler". I think Charlie spent as much time talking about his prowess at "magnetic darts" as he did the team. That's WM for you!

BTW the BBC listen again might have the interview. I'm pretty sure I've listened to stuff from the regional stations in the past (although they may have been podcasts).
