The man who missed the crucial penalty in Chasetown FC’s FA Cup defeat has insisted he would volunteer to take one again if the opportunity arose.

Harry Harris failed to convert his spot kick as the Scholars lost out 5-4 on penalties to AFC Wulfrunians in the Preliminary Round replay with the scores level at 2-2 after extra time.

But the former Walsall man has insisted missing the spot kick doesn’t make the disappointment of going out any worse.

Too right Harry. Not a bad pen at all, just a good read by their keeper. Tayls had 1 like that and it went past him. The game should of been won in the 1st game, but it wasn't.

Penalties are luck of the draw, if you hit a good one and it's stopped, no one's got an issue whatsoever. Most important thing is you're focussed on scoring next time, rather than getting down. Right way to go about it

Penalty takers should never get blame and should never feel like they've let anyone down whatever level they play at.

The issue we should be concentrating on is why it got to a penalty shootout in the first place after 210 minutes of football!!

You put it that way it really does hurt! Can we not put a blanket ban on all figures relating to Tuesday night?
