How Gary Birch getting on? 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Helllo footballfan here, Support Lincoln City and just wonder how ex-lincoln city striker Gary Birch is getting on.

I saw he scored like 2 at the weekend plus 2 in 2 games before that wasnt it.

We used to sing gary birch gary birch.he gets the ball, scores are goals gary gary birch.
he started off well when Keitth Alexander signed him but some fans got on his back because he didnt do alot running one game but hope he scores lots at this level.

good luck for the season. may even come see him play v lincoln united in few weeks.

He has approached this season this far with an excellent attitude. Looks very ready to score, and is doing alot of closing down of players. MOM on several occassions for me this year, and definate name on the team sheet atm.

Hope that answers your question, and good luck yourselves.

Hello popdog28 and thanks for replying.

Its also nice to see an ex-player doing well. Hope birch keep his great work up and get chaesetown up the leagues.

I also like to keep eye's on lower leagues players, do you feel any of the chaestown players will make it into the BSP/League two if work hard?

I see lincoln utd have some good players but dont seen to be doing well at the moment. need some luck i think because united also have afew ex-imps in jamie forrester etc.

We had 2 go to Port Vale (then league 1) on the back of the FA cup run. Chris Slater didn't really adapt and enjoy it and returned to us, but Kyle Perry stayed on. He was realeased at the end of his contract, but has gone to BSP outfit Mansfield, and it sounds like he is doing well. Seems a player who has improved alot since his time with us.

I honestly believe the difference between a non league player and a league player is less about skill, but more about taking your opportunities, a bit of luck and obviously fitness.

A number of players have left us in the summer, and gone to teams 1 or 2 steps up, basically because they couldn't get 1st team football.

He has scored a few this season. Starting to show touches of class that prove he is better than many at this level. Long may it continue.

6 so far this season in all competitions. Birchy is pure quality and even when he doesnt score, in my opinion, he is great to watch.
Saw alot of him years ago when he was at Nuneaton on loan from Walsall and has always had a great touch on the ball.
The difference this season is that not only is his overall play good but he is knocking in the goals too which he wasnt doing on a regular basis last season.

Would agree with that. An awesome finish from Birchy last night but dont think we will see a better goal all season than the Harris volley at Spalding.
