Harry Harris confirms Chasetown exit 2 Years, 8 Months ago
From The Lichfield Blog:

Chasetown FC manager Charlie Blakemore could be forced to look for attacking re-inforcements after another forward confirmed his departure from the club.

Former Walsall man Harry Harris told The Lichfield Blog of his decision to end his spell at the Scholars Ground and make a "fresh start" elsewhere following the 0-0 draw against AFC Stamford.

I can't say I'm surprised. Harry is a good player and should've been in the team ahead of others.

Are you sure this is for definite ... where I saw it 'announced' last night too has since been removed.

Did he say it direct to you or are you reporting on "status updates"??

Just want to make sure that's all - ideally I would prefer it not to be true!!

Nothing's confirmed until another club puts a bid in for him and goes through the proper 7-days approach to sign him.

Cheers for clearing that up ... thought it had seemed to happen a bit quick as we only saw him less than 24 hours ago on the bench!!

What's the "7-days approach" ... is it me being dumb or is it just as it sounds?

Not 100% sure about this - a club has to make an approach to sign a player - they have to give 7-days notice (although we can waiver it)

Then they can't make another bid to that club for another 28 days for another player

It stops a team getting all the players from one club - i.e. a club taking on all of our unused subs in one fair swoop

I assume this doesn't apply in the Premiership as cash is involved and Tottenham keep going back to Portsmouth

So do I, after the midfield 'performance' yesterday, dramatically improved when Batch came on. Was surprised not to see Harry to be honest, and even if he does want to make a fresh start - he's still our player until another club comes for him(?), or Charlie could give persuasion a go...we don't want to lose another valuable player.

It's tough with HH, often looks great but is indifferent and goes missing in games he should boss. That said, the same could be said for a fair few current Chasetown players so to single him out is unfair.

Personally think with the current midfield he warrants some starting action, and for me he is ahead of a few in midfield. Maybe he feels Bragoli is now ahead of him and so with Batch coming back it will be Batch/Steane/Bragoli until further notice?
