Chasetown Vs Kidsgrove Athletic 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Having seen Charlie's reported comments on Saturday's match I think we can take heart. I've already said that I thought the players and management feel exactly as we do. The hurt was clearly etched all over the teams' faces as they left the pitch at Mickleover.

Obviously CB has the same concerns that many have expressed on here. Of particular note is the recognition that we need new players. Not least, in my opinion, because one or two more injuries within the squad and we are scuppered. We already know Danny is having knee problems.

So, Kidsgrove up next. I'll happily risk going out of the cup to the sixth placed side in the league if we take the opportunity to try out a few ideas.

Over to you Statto. Set the scene please!

I think CB has said what many of us have said, although with a bit more restraint and positivity. He sees the problems on Saturday, and knows why they are happening and what to do.

Billy, as you say Danny has knee problems, so why not play Grant Ryan? Thats the only thing that confuses me, as clearly Danny has been far from his best for the last 4 games or so.

Would personally like to see 4-4-2 tomorrow, as we only play 3-5-2 to accomodate Slater/Vaughan/Teesdale. If Ross is fit, would like to see him figure at the back, with Batch & Ben in midfield.

Not Likely

CB has told Non League Daily that he is keeping faith with the OLD GUARD because they know the system.

It looks like we are stuck with it 3-5-2 that is for some time. For me Ryan Price, Ross Miller, Batch and Ben must start and Milli if he is fit.

And please lets not become a bunch of fans that blame Refs for results (as in other posts). We are better than that and lets face it when do you ever hear a team complain when they win a game.

We are better than that.

Was this away? I had become one of the faithful by then, but didn't do many away games.

Now that was an away game when Kidsgrove shamed us with their massive flags...........you know, in the dark days when we didn't have flags.

What we need in midfield is Ben Twigger back. Oh crap, looks like im all out of good ideas

Now... you can NEVER have too many flags, in my opinion. Ours now come with an executive flag wallah

Hope Charlie won't mind me putting this up...

I texted him earlier with my guess at tomorrow night's eleven...

His reply...

"Not a bad try m8. Blakemore at 10"

I did ask him if he meant him or his daughter Emily...

Good to see CB in good form ahead of tomorrow night

My starting 11 would be

Ryan price
C.slater
v.t
tees

m,branch
j,branch
ben
batch
egan/ Hollie

Danny smith
Birchy

Subs

Ross
Milligan
Grant
Hollie

Or put ross at the back and go 4,4,2,
Cant we atleast try the 4,4,2, what have we got to loose,Its better to try than not do any thing.

We have a gr8 buch of lads so lets try and get behind them a give them some bloody ENCOURAGEMENT,from the Fans and from off the bench.
Way too much coming off the bench, most of the time should be only cb and a.t giving the orders and no one else in my view.
